So, in English class we are entering our final written project (just kidding) but alas a final nonetheless. So as you guys pointed I focused on the What Would You Do episode. I am very excited to see how this turns out. The original episode aired last year in June so I am excited that it is not to out of date. Furthermore, the whole social experiment was amazing! Down syndrome is (as taken from Mayo Clinic's website) "a genetic disorder caused when abnormal cell division results in an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21."
My paper itself will be on how those with Down syndrome have a chance at becoming "normal" or in better words become independent. Something as such is very difficult, but with practice and a lot of love and care, it can come true.
This topic has become more and more important to me because I so happen know someone with Down syndrome who by the looks of it, you would never guess. They are very happy, they can speech moderately well, and to make things cooler she really enjoys watching cooking shows. Of course I would not expect every one with the same ailment to be acting the same but I do believe there is a chance that it can get better.
