(#14) Final Farewell

The blog I followed became routine to me and now I am prone to taking 5 minutes of my morning and catching up on it. My blog was not very fun to create for I do not have an artistic eye, however I got to a point where my blog looked visually acceptable, and the content was coherent with its appeal. The most I learned from the blog was how to write in different tones for my audience to understand.  

(#13) Unit III Final

Today I want to discuss with you how simple someone can alter your thought process. Have you ever

 watched an ad about McDonald's new burger, it looks so big in the actors hands it is almost about to fall

 however when you finally go to McDonalds and order it , it is smaller than you expected. This is the

 power of commercialism however, the media has the same power.

Donald Trump gave orders to evacuate our troops from Syria and he did so without congressional

 approval. Confused by this many citizens wanted to learn why this was and it came to no results. This

 was because the media was suppressing a video of a group of Syrians (found out to be the Syrians we

are aiding) have shot an American child. Ironically when president Obama made this arrangement to

help the Syrians he knew about their "torturers, mass rapists, human organ noshers and head amputators

back in 2013." as Basil Hallward states

Ofc no media would want Trump to look good so they covered it up. But this is not the only time media

has been affecting your views. During Trump's campaign he was viewed on the Kelly show. Shortly

after a "feud" as Jim Rutenberg puts it took place over Twitter in which Trump declared the Kelly show

 to be "overrated" and The network that hosts Kelly's show said Trump had a "sick obsession" over

Kelly. Thankfully, this feud calmed down quickly, but not before Kelly and Trump could profit from it

of course. Kelly was able to gain more viewers and sell more of her written pieces, while Donald Trump    

was given a new campaign movement.

This article talks about Trump's appearance on television networks and how the ratings of the show increase tied to Trump now getting more news time and gaining more of a following. Rutenberg specifically talks about when Trump goes onto Megan Kelly's show and even though they both dislike each other they both benefited from the encounter.

This text is more useful and it explains a little more in detail how when Trump gave the orders for our soldiers to evacuate from Syria without congressional approval. At first, without understanding the context it seems Trump is a rule breaking idiot however, once you notice the full topic you will understand how Trump was making the best move. 

(#10) Thesis Statement (etc.)

In English we are working on our argument essays. As of now mine is not crafted but I have made a working thesis.

Many students at Henninger are against Trump, I believe this is solely because they do not understand his ideas fully.

I chose this topic at first because when I was watching the news during the election period the news would always state how Trump was behind in the suggested polls however during voting night he was found to be voted in a way higher number than recorded.

My stake is that whenever someone in my school tries to state Trump should be impeached, I believe I disagree and thus my position is I am a followed against a full school of haters

My project in this essay is to show others that there are more ways than one to look at something. Specifically people.

( #9) Preliminary Ideas and Plans

"Wrong!" How would you feel if you thought of a topic which has the capability to be your best paper ever written and being told it is not right... Therefore as Trump once said it is ... "wrong"

When I first started thinking about my topic for my argumentative paper, I had certain ideas in which I thought I could write on. These involved Net Neutrality, co-ed schools compared with non co-ed schools, I even was going to resort to writing about how people have become to addicted to their technology that they would even marry them. Without further thought Friday came and we had our guest speaker from SU (whom I briefly talked about in my previous blog) and our class had to tell her our topic we were going to be writing on. Of course, I thought my topic was due in a weeks time so I lost thought of it, truthfully. But one of my classmates went off on how they were going to write a topic on how women were being effected in the work place, and well one of their examples was Trump. And upon saying this I thought my topic would be; Is Donald Trump a bad guy. This is very simple if I just say it like that so let me explain. In the 2016 election there was a video that came our of him talking with someone in a coach bus in which he was talking derogatory. However, I would want to prove that this, even though it is unjust, does not make Donald a bad guy. For starters the reporter who uncovered that evidence was Matt Lauer. A reporter who was recently alleged from doing worse that what Donald Trump was just talking about. As hypocritical this is you can even say this was political. It is commonly known that Matt Lauer was a Democrat, and it is evenly more widely known that Democrat's run the airways. And because of this it has create this "normalcy" that Donald Trump is a unintelligent, impulsive, airhead. In which I want to argue he is not.
From this the professor thought my argument was to much of a "yes" or "no" but, I would like to challenge that idea. Is the topic of gun control a yes or no? Is the debate on gay rights a yes or no? I would like to have a better reason than just it seems to much like an un-infinitive topic.

This topic is relevant because not only is Donald still our president and getting ridiculed, some of the points I will be using to explain my side are even more so (i.e. Matt Lauer.)

Three stakeholders in my topic are Donald Trump himself, Democrats and their ability to mold our way of thinking of our president, and lastly, myself and every other American. Donald Trump has created many jobs, one way specifically was by mandating our roads to be fixed. Now this feat does not take a week to finish as many of us in Syracuse know as when in the summer the Mattydale turnpike was being fixed. That alone took 2-3 months. Thus this creates not just jobs but careers in which help our governments economy.

This topic seems very simple but so are many others. I feel as if the professor I meet shot down my argument before evaluating its true entirety and I cannot blame her, for she has probably just finished looking over many of her own students papers and her creative mind may have been simply shut for the time being.

(#8) Unit III

For English class we finished our analytical essay in November. I will now be creating an argumentative essay in which I will be talking about something with Kairos (that is relative towards today.) When the English professor from SU came into class and told me my argumentative topic was less of an argument I took it quite to heart because I believe that I can make it into a very nice argument and at this time I am debating on doing it nonetheless.
